Walking is the simplest way to look after your health and stay in shape.
Step Counter uses the step sensor already built into your phone to count your daily steps automatically. Open it once and you're done — no start button, no account, no GPS running down your battery. Your steps keep counting in your pocket, in your bag, and while your screen is locked. Along with steps, this pedometer tracks calories burned, walking distance, and walking time, then shows it all in clear charts.
🚶 No buttons — just walk
Some pedometer apps require you to tap "Start" before walking. This step counter doesn't. It runs in the background all day, so you won't lose steps taken before you remembered. Hold it, pocket it, or drop it in a bag — it keeps tracking either way.
🔋 No GPS, easy on your battery
This app never uses your location. It reads the hardware step sensor in your phone, which generally uses far less battery than GPS tracking — leave it running all day.
📊 See your progress, not just today's number
Daily, weekly, and monthly charts for steps, calories burned, distance, and walking time. Seeing last week beside this one turns a good day into a habit.
🏃 A step tracker and calorie counter in one
Walking is the easiest place to start if you're getting back into fitness — no gym, no equipment, no plan. This step counter estimates the calories you burn walking and calculates your BMI, doubling as a weight tracking log.
🎯 Daily step goals and achievements
Set your own daily step goal — 10,000 steps, or something realistic to build from. Reach it and you unlock an achievement.
📤 Share your progress
Send your results to family and friends and set goals together — it's easier when someone else is counting too.
✈️ Works completely offline
No internet, no Wi-Fi, no signal needed. Steps are counted in airplane mode, on the subway, and on a trail with no bars.
🔐 No sign-in. Your data stays on your phone.
No account, no email, no login. Your step history is stored on your device and never sold or shared with third parties.
🆓 Free, with nothing locked
No premium tier, no paywalled features. Every part of this free pedometer works from the first time you open it.
✨ Simple, and focused
Step counting, calories, distance, time, charts, goals, and achievements all work from day one. This app does one job: count your steps accurately and show what they add up to.
Step Counter is for you if you:
・want steps counted automatically, without pressing a button
・want an accurate pedometer and step tracker
・care about your battery lasting the whole day
・don't want an app tracking your location
・want to log daily steps, calories burned, and walking distance
・are working on weight loss or weight management
・want a step counter that works offline
・want to track steps without a smartwatch or fitness band
Getting the most accurate step count
・Enter your real height, weight, and stride length in Settings. Distance and calories are calculated from those.
・If your count reads high or low, adjust the sensitivity. Lower sensitivity also cuts down on steps from car and bus vibration.
Please note
● Some manufacturers use aggressive power saving that stops step counting while the screen is locked. The app can't override this, but excluding it from battery optimization in your settings usually fixes it.
● Older phones without a step sensor may not count correctly.
● Small differences between devices are normal.
Free pedometer and calorie counter
A free pedometer that records your daily steps and estimates the calories you burn walking. No subscription, no locked features, no account.
Step counter offline
This step counter works entirely offline, reading your phone's built-in sensor rather than the network — steps, distance, and calories with no connection.
Walking tracker for everyday activity
Commuting, running errands, walking the dog, taking the stairs — a walking tracker counts all of it, not just the walks you plan.
