The application analyzes seismic activity by combining data from open earthquake catalogs, mobile device sensors, and professional seismic stations installed in the field, and presents it to the user in an understandable way.

The aim of Seismic Alert is not only to list earthquake data, but also to show the user changes in earthquake activity and regional risk trends visually and statistically.

⚡ HYBRID EARLY WARNING ARCHITECTURE

Seismic Alert employs a hybrid seismic detection approach that utilizes different data sources together.

The system includes:

📱 Built-in accelerometer sensors of mobile phones

📡 Independently operating professional seismic sensor stations in the field

all evaluated together.

By detecting the initial seismic waves (P-waves) generated during an earthquake, the user can be informed within seconds, before the more destructive S-waves reach the region. This mechanism is based on an early warning principle that operates after the earthquake has started, based on the laws of physics. The effectiveness of the system is directly related to the user's distance from the earthquake epicenter.

🌦️ PROBABILITY-BASED RISK ANALYSIS

Seismic Alert uses probability-based analysis methods similar to weather forecasting systems.

The system continuously monitors the following parameters:

- Seismic activity intensity and frequency variations

- Temporal earthquake sequence behavior (Omori's law)

- Vibration spectrum and amplitude analyses

- Continuous measurements from the field sensor network

- Regional earthquake distributions and statistical parameters

These analyses are not intended to predict the exact time or magnitude of a particular earthquake. The aim is to provide the user with scientifically based awareness of regional risk trends and seismic activity variations.

Seismic Alert is not solely based on phone data.

Independent seismic stations deployed in the field monitor environmental vibration variations by providing continuous 24/7 measurements. Raw data from these professional sensors is processed in the cloud infrastructure and combined with measurements from mobile devices to create a hybrid seismic monitoring infrastructure.

This approach offers a combination of wide geographic coverage, low noise levels, and continuous measurement reliability.
