A step counter that finally makes the number mean something. Open the app and one big arc shows exactly how close you are to today's goal — filling in real time as you walk, with distance, calories and active minutes right underneath.
Most pedometers hand you a raw number and leave you to guess. This one turns walking into a rhythm you can see: a goal you set yourself, a streak that grows every day you hit it, and a walking level that climbs with every 50,000 steps. Counting runs on your iPhone's motion chip, so it keeps working while the app is closed — no account, no sign-in, no internet required.
WHAT YOU GET
- Know at a glance whether today is on track, without reading a single chart
- See real distance in kilometres or miles, tuned to your own stride length
- Watch a streak build day after day and feel the pull to keep it alive
- Spot which weekday you actually move most, so you can plan around it
- Look back over any week or month and see the goal line you crossed
- Get one gentle evening nudge when the day is nearly done, if you want it
PERFECT FOR
- Walkers who want a daily target instead of a vague "move more"
- Anyone rebuilding a habit after a long stretch of sitting
- People who want step tracking without wearing a watch or a band
- Privacy-minded users who refuse to hand their movement to a server
WHY NOT JUST USE THE BUILT-IN HEALTH APP?
Health stores your steps but never tells you how the day is going. There is no goal you set, no streak to protect, no walking level, no evening reminder, and no week-by-week pattern laid out for you. This app is built around one question — am I going to hit it today? — and answers it the second you open it.
WHAT THE RESEARCH ACTUALLY SAYS
The Learn tab holds five short, sourced cards on walking science, each with the reference behind it and links to the originals. Ten thousand steps began as a 1960s marketing figure, not a clinical target, and plenty of people do well nearer 7,000 or 8,000. Set the slider anywhere from 2,000 to 30,000, or tap a 5k, 7.5k, 10k, 12.5k or 15k preset and get on with your day.
PRIVACY
Every step, day and setting is stored on your iPhone and nowhere else. No account, no sign-up, no analytics, no ads, no cloud. Delete the app and the data goes with it.
FULL ACCESS
The daily arc, your goal, distance, calories, active minutes and today's streak are the core of the app. Full Access unlocks the complete daily log, the 30-day trend line, lifetime totals, your weekly pattern chart, the time-of-day breakdown and milestone badges. Choose the plan that suits you: weekly, yearly, or a one-time lifetime purchase. There is no free trial. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends; manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings. The lifetime option is a single payment with no renewal.
Set your goal to 7,000 today, take one walk, and watch the arc close.
