ACom – Traffic Info & Alerts

ACom is a traffic app for people who drive the same road every day. Set the area that concerns you once — after that, one glance tells you whether today is going to be different.

ONE AREA, NOT THE WHOLE WORLD

Save a map for every route you drive: the commute, the drive to your parents, the holiday run. Each one remembers its area, its zoom and its two points. Next time it is one tap, and everything is back exactly as you left it.

TRAFFIC, REDRAWN EVERY THREE MINUTES

The map carries live traffic and refreshes it on its own. A countdown at the top says when the next redraw is due, so you always know how old the picture is. A tap on the map fetches it at once.

INCIDENTS IN PLAIN WORDS

Jams, roadworks and closures from TomTom — as markers on the map and as a list. Every entry names the road, how long it has been standing, when it is expected to clear and how many metres are affected. Sort by age, by road or by queue length, and filter: drive the same motorway daily, set a filter once, and from then on you only read what concerns you.

CHECK THE ROUTE BEFORE YOU GO

One tap on "Route" gives you the driving time, how much of it is traffic, and whether a detour is worth taking. If it is, you can send the navigation that way — handed over to Google Maps or Waze.

BIRD VIEW FOR DRIVING

The map turns with you: forward is up, your position sits in the lower third. Stop the car and the compass takes over — otherwise the map would spin at every red light.

BUILT FOR THE CAR

Large labelled buttons, high contrast, a night mode that does not dazzle. Held sideways the four buttons move into a block within thumb reach. Ten map styles, adjustable road width, kilometres or miles.

SHARING

A map can be sent. Anyone with ACom gets the complete thing — name, area, both points. Anyone without gets an ordinary Google Maps link they can use straight away.

NO ACCOUNT

No registration, no sign-in. Your maps and settings stay on your device. Location permission is only requested when you need it, and the app works without it.
