● How to quit smoking successfully?

We have some tips for you on how to get started with quitting:

1. ask yourself why you want to quit. Is it harmful to you or your loved ones?

2. think about the situations in which you reach for cigarettes and what are the factors that drive you to do so.

3. Provide yourself with substitutes, e.g. chewing gum, candy - something you can chew. It's also a good idea to occupy something with your hands, which have so far reflexively reached for a cigarette.

4. set a time frame - when do you want to definitely stop smoking? That way you won't put off the decision for later.

5. inform loved ones of your decision and ask for their support. It is much needed in the first days, when it is usually very easy to give up.

6. remove anything that will remind you of smoking. It will also be a good idea to limit your encounters with smokers, at least for the first few weeks. They will not tempt you with the sight of cigarettes or their smell.

2 weeks - this is the time when most people give up. Try to survive them, and later it will only get easier!
