SteadySky Turbulence Tracker

1. Turbulence before your flight

Enter your departure and arrival airports, date and time. SteadySky uses upper-air weather data to provide online turbulence estimates along the route and through the different flight phases. A connection is required to request a new forecast.

2. Seat-level movement estimate

During the flight, place your phone securely near your seat. Its motion sensors estimate the movement felt at that point in the cabin. This is a local seat-level estimate, not a certified measurement.

3. Offline GPS tracking and maps

Track position, altitude, speed, heading, distance, climb or descent and your recorded path. GPS tracking and installed maps work without internet, including in airplane mode when Location/GPS remains enabled.

4. Timeline, PIREPs and SIGMETs

When online, view the estimated route timeline at intervals of about 10 minutes, available PIREP pilot reports and active SIGMET advisories.

5. History and exports

Save and review sessions with duration, distance, statistics and the recorded track. Free shows the latest 10 sessions and supports GPX export for visible sessions.

6. Privacy

No app account and no ads. GPS tracking data is processed on your device and stays local unless you choose to export it. Route and weather searches send only the required query parameters to external services; purchases are handled by Google Play.

7. Free and Pro

Free includes a total of 3 successful online turbulence checks for the lifetime of the app. Pro unlocks unlimited checks, full forecasts, route timeline and detailed PIREP/SIGMET information, map overlays, unlimited history, CSV/JSON and ZIP exports, full backup, advanced statistics, map imports and high-detail maps. It also includes the live Flight Display PFD, an experimental Pro feature.

8. Important notice

SteadySky is for informational and recreational use. Forecasts, sensor estimates and GPS data must not be used for aeronautical navigation, flight safety or operational decisions and do not replace official instruments, information or procedures.
