Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. iPads must have GPS tracking functions (iPad with Wifi+GPS) to enable location tracking and logging of trips, however a SIM card or cellular coverage is not required to utilise GPS tracking functions. Bluetooth GPS units can be purchased to enable GPS tracking with Wifi only iPads.
