Carom 3C: Billiards & Notes

Carom3C is a practice tool for three-cushion players who work from systems. Read a lesson on a diamond system, draw the shot yourself, then run it on a simulated table to see whether the numbers hold up. Lessons, a diagram editor, a physics engine and a scoreboard, all on the same cloth.

Lessons are built on named diamond systems, not general advice. Titles in the library include:

The diagrams show the arithmetic the way you would count it at the table: diamond numbering along the rails, START - AIM = FINISH, and effect counts of 0, 1 or 3.

NOTES: DRAW YOUR OWN

• Place balls and draw trajectory lines on a carom table. 12 colors, width 0.5 to 5, solid or dashed, arrowheads optional.

• Add text labels for your numbers and reminders, and edit the rail diamond labels cell by cell so a note carries its own numbering.

• Use the aim-point helper: a sliced target ball showing cut thickness plus the tip-contact dot, with a bank-shot mode.

• Keep notes in folders. Sort, duplicate and delete them, and search by title or by the text written on the diagram itself.

• Import and export .caromnote files to hand a shot to another player. The format is shared with the iOS version.

RUN THE SHOT, NOT JUST THE PICTURE

Notes come in two kinds: Standard, a static diagram, and Interactive, a shot the app plays out for you. Build it the way you would build it in your head, then let the physics finish it.

• Pick the cue ball, aim by touching the cloth, then set spin (english plus follow or draw on a spin face), force, and stroke from punch to push.

• The engine simulates the whole shot: cue ball path, object ball paths, cushion contacts, and whether the carom is valid.

• Playback animates a cue stick stroking into the ball, then grows the trails and drops numbered badges marking the order the rails were hit.

• When a shot is worth keeping, export it as an MP4 at normal speed or in slow motion, with a settings strip showing spin, hit fullness, force and stroke, then share it.

• Scoreboard: score, innings, averages, high run, and a saved match history.

• Shot clock for timing your turn.

• Playground: a free table for trying any shot without saving it.

• Break draw for laying out a break-shot formation.

FREE AND PRO

The lesson library and the table tools are free. So are your first 10 notes, standard or interactive, in a single folder. Carom3C Pro, monthly or yearly, removes the note limit and adds custom folders.

GOOD TO KNOW

• Your notes are stored on your device and open without a connection. The lesson library needs one.

• There is no account and no sign-in.

• There is no cloud sync and no backup, so export a .caromnote file if you want a copy or want the shot on another device.

• No ads.

• Interface languages: English, Vietnamese, Spanish, Korean, Turkish.

• Also on iOS, and the note file format is the same on both.
