Topic Pages: All the info on a topic

You'll now see small gray buttons under articles and videos, for example, "Agriculture," "Nature," and "Energy." These are topic categories assigned by the NDR editorial team. Tapping on one of these gray buttons opens the corresponding topic page. Here you'll find everything that's labeled with these names.

Your weather always with you – including rain radar

The NDR Hamburg app now offers even more weather data for our city. You can customize exactly which location the app should display temperatures, precipitation, and wind for. A weather icon in the top left corner of the home screen shows the temperature. Tapping this area opens the weather forecast for the next few days.

When will the rain front arrive? You can now easily find out in the NDR app. On the weather information page, you can switch the view at the bottom. The ndr.de rain radar shows the development over the past 60 minutes and a forecast. You can also move the map view with your finger. The data for this feature comes from ndr.de/wetter.

Traffic jams and hazard warnings reliably in the app

You'll also find current traffic information in the app's menu. Here you can filter for traffic jams, roadworks, or even ferries. If there are any hazard warnings, they will first appear in a pop-up window. A button at the bottom of the page will then direct you to the hazard warnings, which you can reopen at any time.

Due to the amount of data used when streaming audio and video files, we recommend using a Wi-Fi connection or a data plan.
