If you're vegan or vegetarian, pregnant or breastfeeding use this app to avoid the effects of zinc deficiency. Zinc is critical for a healthy immune system, wound healing, cell division, growth, and metabolism, and protects against many diseases including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, arthritis, skin diseases, dementia and Parkinson's disease. Zinc deficiency in pregnancy and childhood impairs growth and development. Deficiency in older adults can impair wound healing and brain and mental health.

Set your target daily zinc intake based on guidance provided in the app and your preferences for weights of food (g or oz).

Record food and beverage consumption using dictation, search, or by favoriting foods, and using the serving sizes provided, which can be changed at any time. Tap the notepad to add notes. Compare the zinc content of different foods by tapping the Compare button on the "Foods" screen.

Monitor daily and long-term progress, export data to share with healthcare providers, synchronize data with other First Line Medical Communications Ltd nutrient counter apps, and share data with Apple's HealthKit.

All food and beverage popups indicate whether the item is a plant, good prebiotic, probiotic or ultra-processed food (UPF) to inform a healthy diet and whether they are high or low FODMAP per serving where data are available to support people with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

Useful lists show zinc content of foods per 1oz or 100g and serving, which can be toggled from high to low & low to high. Also useful UPF, unprocessed plant, prebiotic, probiotic, high & low FODMAP food lists.
